Highland Cattle in Canterbury, New
Zealand at Timaru.
 |
 | Limestone Valley |
Glenloch Fold is
now located at Limestone Valley, just south of Cave on the main road from
Timaru to Lake Tekapo. Travel north from Pleasant Point and turn
left at the Limestone Valley yellow AA sign.
We sadly were unable to bring
Balahough May 5 "Mary May" to the South Island as she died just before we
moved. So with the reduction of animals in Rotorua property we only had two
to bring south. Achnalea of Glenloch Fold, a reserve champion and Auchenblae
of Glenloch Fold, her daughter and also a ribbon winner. |
| Since then and now
33 acres of land we have grown in size.
First to be added to the fold was
Tira of Glenange, who was purchased at a sale on the farm. With even the
snow coming down. Tira has had a lovely red calf called Tulla of Glenloch
Fold.
Auchenblae has had her calf Belsay
of Glenloch Fold. A dun calf in colour and that brought the numbers to 5
heifers.
With all this luck we decided to
purchase a full blood bull from Rotorua. McNabb of Glen Cannich |
